The other "solution" would be not to go go in too close with the camera
Macroscopic photos are unforgiving...

Nice work, that's going to look sharp when you're finished.

and again some pics showing that we are coming here to an end...

here I installed a magneto-hydraulic coupling with my hydrospanner

...the iron balls should be test fitted with the magnet. The iron is in tape to prevent coloring the paper by rust later, then glued onto the paper.

and here is the bottom side

...and by the way: I found a way to "prevent" the macroscopic photos:
I crashed the lens..sigh ..that's why the photos are a little bit too bright. I had to change the camera.

I am guessing that you got the spanner on eBay?

Is it a left handed?

Exactly, I bought it from a guy with the initials H.S.
He mentioned that the thing fell on his head during a storm.
Asteroid something...I didn't get it because his hairy friend was growling so loud

it looks like you are just about done. i have been spying on this thread since you started it, waiting to make this final comment.
it looks great!
and i nominate this ship for model of the week!
it would be nice to have a star trek model be the spotlight model this month.
again, great job.

Many thanks for spying: this is always welcome. Also many thanks for the compliments. The model however is yet to be finished, and the honors should go to wulf111!

Took some more time: The underwing wing engines are quite detailed for my big fingers and currently in process.
Here are pics from the bridge top and bottom.
