does anyone care anymore?
i still need an empire state building cap,
jack in the cave,
and and bi-planes, one to scale and one very mini for the background.

Yes, we care. I've been off doing my vintage file restoration/upload thing. It's just taking dozens of hours! Fortunately, I have plenty of time in the night.

You can cover Kong in rabbit hair, just like the original. You'll need to purchase a rabbit skin with hair. Yeah, I know... You can get them at Tandy, sometimes places like Michaels or HOby Lobby will carry them. The "real" Kong was covered in rabbit hair. Fortunately, your model is large enough that the rabbit hair will work. Doll hair will not in this case because Kong's hair was somewhat long and straight. I have a rabbit skin somewhere because I was going to use it on one my other modeling projects.

Let me find it and I'll do a quick tutorial. It's an easy technique, just time consuming. I spent about 10 hours covering Cyclops. Hmmmm....now where is that rabbit skin?

um, i know how to make stop motion puppets and have made a kong before, i wanted this to be paper, a paper model diorama to put in the downloads. i thought that you were refering to a really good texture paint print i could draw over, as i did with the trex skin i posted.
so stop!!!!!!
dont go to all that trouble!!!
i know how painstaking that is!
thanks
jim

Its looking real good. maybe take the stage from the end of the movie to frame the diorama, the scene where they raise the curtain to show the chaned KK?

ther is a really good resin kit of that out there, so i have decided not to do that particular scene, but right after he breaks out, is a good scene i might do.
climbing up the windows a few stories, amid the burning wreckage!
