simulate bubbles

i am building gary pilsworth's seaview model,
i have a mini flying sub and the props on the seaview that i am going to simply glue to a blue back drop,
i have green leds on the seaview.
but,
both the fs-1 and the seaview expell bubbles from thier jets when under water.
cotton is not what i want to do.
any ideas of something that would be penpoint sized bubbles maybe a smidgen bigger than a penpoint, that i could group together as a stream?
i have thought of glue drops, but that is a last resort due to how many i would need.
clear would be best.
white second best.
glued together salt doesnt look right.
hot glue with beads smeared all thru it looks good and a larger scale.

maybe experiment with that spray foam insulation, try and streak it, or mix up some fiberglass and whip it up so it does have those little bubbles. You can get the stuff translucent but I'm clueless of how to spread it out to dry. That stuff is easy to paint and dry brush to get water effects. Same with artist's acrylic gel, that drys clear

Check out the craft store for some clear plastic beads. I think they come in sizes down to about 1/16". Or failing that, you might try "airsoft" pellets from the sporting good store.

I like your work, and your ideas. I have attached some pictures of my builds - hope that's ok to do. The Sky 1 is also a Gary Pilsworth design - TB 4 {iJoy) - Flying Sub {can't remember Designer}

Can you try small glass beads?

(Problem is, I have no clue off the top of my head where to find them.)
