That model was created by John Picha, really nice guy it turns out. I sent an e-mail to him and worked out a trade (did a small AutoCAD job for him) in exchange for the mesh he made so I could try to develop a paper model. I was also able to trade services for the Jonny Quest hovercraft mesh as well. I REALLY want to try to get his Tundro (from The Herculoids) mesh next.

John spent a lot of time researching various episodes to develop his model. He said that sometimes the ship is drawn differently in the various views so he had to come up with his best compromise for the model. I think he did it justice.

Unfortunately, I am not allowed to share the mesh so I hope to get this model designed before I lose interest and die (got a LOT of projects started- you designers know what I mean?).

Best Regards,

I totally hear where you are coming from Ron. BTW, did you ever get the Spindrift done?

Sorry, but no. Gary Pilsworth released a very nice version of the Spindrift (which I built and reviewed), so I though I could shelve it for a while. But I really would like to take a stab at it later and try to detail the interior as well.

Best Regards,
