yes, the lighter lines are a guide to cut, then mash into a dome and glue the sections together, it works very good. you might want to use a cup bottom or ladle to use as an ''anvil '' to hold this dome in place while you glue the sections around in a clockwise direction.
eventually you will have a very good dome. |

That's not a "good" dome, it's a marvellous dome, well beyond "good" and into "excellent".
I can not honestly say I've seen before a dome formed without advanced techniques emerge so very neatly from the building process. The dome you have formed could be used "as is" very easily indeed, and believe me, I'd use it as is. It is a good model, and clearly it will go together very well. thank you so much!
i have to trim around the bottom, but a few snips and the layers match up on the sections, and i can also mash it up against a measuring spoon bottom. then its smooth. thanks again for the compliment! |
