flying sub and kong shots

well the flying sub is lit up with a white led connected to an e-candle battery stand.
its about palm size.
this is kong 3
my next one should be right on the nose!!!!!
i would like to hear from all the king kong fans we got on this one please
and feel free to criticize the heck out of it, i need to learn how to print hair for kong, how to make better shapes for limbs and such and his lovely face needs some work.

All in all I think Kong4 is pretty darn good, Jim. You've captured the look well.

Granted, the upper arms are never going to be easy to contour, and that is probably best accomplished by contouring the "fur" covering instead. In so saying I'm not actually criticising the figure, because I think you've arrived dead-on at what is buildable and finer details will be made to look right by the builder once the figure is covered.
So, taken all in all I feel you've done more than justice to the Kong figure with iteration 4.

The Flying Sub is a piece of cleverness that amounts to brilliance, and certainly a very neat arrangement.

Well Done for both models, Jim.

Kind and Respectful Regards Jim my friend, Uyraell.

the flying sub doesnt turn out right in a smaller scale so im going to stop buildint it at that small size. since i shred all my paper, i use it to stuff my models with.
i find that it really works good to give structural support.
i might shred and shred some black paper, paint kong with glue and sprinkle it on.
i keep getting a afro look though and i kind of want paint brush edge looks, maybe layered in with cut and paste, and then print kong on the backside and flip what you need to that isnt hair. a colored pencil can color in kong's face, i left that to the artists who build him.
i wish i knew how to print hair.......it keeps comming out a blurry blue grey, even though its black on the file.
thanks neptune, comming from you i feel like i actually accomplished something.

kong -4 rework

i cleaned it up a little and and resized some things,
i was hoping people would really jump on this one, as it is the template for all my future kong work.

It certainly looks very good to my eyes, Jim.
Can not see where to say more. It looks very buildable, and very usable in a diorama.

I'm not expert enough to offer criticisms, because I lack the skills in building figures. Those skills are also those that are the basis of constructive assessments, which those members skilled in building figures are better qualified than I, to make.

Having said all of which, I repeat that to my eyes this iteration of Kong looks very very good.

Kind and Respectful Regards Jim my friend, Uyraell.
