Manga

Any Paperians out there who can help me with Manga models? My son has a best friend who loves Manga, so I thought it might be a good way to introduce her to the hobby.

I have the requisite skill and knowledge to be able to teach her anything she needs to know about building these models, I am just not sure of where to get them. Free would be preferable as a start, but any links would be helpful.

Thanks so much in advance!

Hi Charles... Not to sure about the "Manga" models, but there are a lot of freebie Anime models out there. I've posted builds of a couple I've done.
Here's a link of some, and from there you should find links to other sites and blogs..

Paperkraft.net - Free Papercraft, Paper Model, & Papertoy: anime

I like doing them every so often as a change...They get better comments then my regular builds.

Bleach Papercraft: Ichigo Kurosaki | Paper Models and 3D Papercrafts

Some free stuff I think.

Here is a link site that might shake out something like you are looking for. A lot of the links are not valid anymore.

Hamanaga - Figures links

Best way is to ask her what manga/anime she's into. I don't know if you know the difference but manga means black and white comics, while anime means animated comics (the similarity lay in the predominantly Japanese way of drawing cartoons). Then just do a search for that series and the term papercraft, tends to turn up results fairly easily, particularly if one of the series happens to be Gundam.

I did just that and the links my fellow paperians provided coincided precisely with her interests! It only goes to show what I have said before, if someone is interested in a subject, there is probably a paper model of it somewhere!
