Neptune, you might try just adjusting your PDF settings instead of jumping through too many hoops.
37 megs does seem excessive. Golly, a full-page Production Workflow ready PDF/XA should only run about 3 megs max.

I'll try that. Sorry, I'm really big on high-res and I was trying to compensate for the limitations within Pep that will only handle 1024 X 1024 pixel image files. If you look at the Big Boy Rocket Toy in pdf, you can clearly see that when it's printed in 11X17 cardstock by a laser printer, it will build into a very detailed looking ship that if built correctly will fool a lot of people into thinking it's a real toy from the 40's and 50's. This has been my goal. To put it the way Disney put it... I've been trying to "Plus it."
