I took the liberty of running your big_boy_rocket (40mb) and the tin_rocket_toy (37mb) through pdf-xchange viewer to create jpgs, compressed the jpgs through photoresizer, and ended up with under 500kb per page for what seems to me comparable quality print images. In jpg form the big_boy is 4mb and the tin_rocket is 1.5mb. combining the jpgs into a single pdf yielded 8.3mb and 3.3mb respectively. If you send me your email, I'll send you the jpgs/pdf for your review.

Excellent! I can't say exactly why PDF creator makes them so large, unless it's the settings that I have Pep, which are pretty much maxed out, or the fact that they were set to A3 paper...??? Do you have links to htese programs are they available individually?

Neptune, you might try just adjusting your PDF settings instead of jumping through too many hoops.
37 megs does seem excessive. Golly, a full-page Production Workflow ready PDF/XA should only run about 3 megs max.

I'll try that. Sorry, I'm really big on high-res and I was trying to compensate for the limitations within Pep that will only handle 1024 X 1024 pixel image files. If you look at the Big Boy Rocket Toy in pdf, you can clearly see that when it's printed in 11X17 cardstock by a laser printer, it will build into a very detailed looking ship that if built correctly will fool a lot of people into thinking it's a real toy from the 40's and 50's. This has been my goal. To put it the way Disney put it... I've been trying to "Plus it."

I'm going to finish up the Fallout version of te Mercury Capsule, less the parachute capsule, for your website, since it's primary focus is real space. Later, I'll go back and retexture for the Liberty Bell and Friendship 7/
