Progress here is coming along very nicely, Neptune My friend, though I admit the thought of an 80-inch model is somewhat daunting to my senses.

You certainly handle the surface contour transitions very well, it being that domed and rounded shapes are (by reputation at least) never easy to shape. Your techniques certainly seem to make it much easier than it might otherwise be.

I'm enjoying seeing this one emerge too, and look forward to pictures of both completed model figures.

Kind and Respectful Regards Neptune my friend, Uyraell.

Thanks, but I don't know that I'm going to be working on the smaller one for awhile. I've printed up so many things since I bought the new printer-copier that I've run out of cardstock and to be honest I've focused on the Big Boy Liberty Prime.

Updates soon.....

New pics of recent construction on the Big Boy! You can see just by looking at the head and the collar, when comparing with the screens that this is going to be BIG!

Got a little done on Prime today, not much, but some. I wanted to build the bomb that Prime throws, because I'm going to need to size it to fit the Big Boy Prime as they are two different files and do not scale the same, for some reason when opened at the same time in the same program...??? Anyway, I built the bomb, did some light sanding the the head and did a prelim light test.

I am enjoying!
It's quite phenomenal to me to see this figure evolve.
It also suggests how similar figures might also eventually be evolved.

Seeing each stage come into being is a most interesting experience. I'm going to have to start teaching myself the various aspects of 3d modelling, if only to see if I can achieve a reasonably good looking figure model. It won't be as complex as this, but it will be a start.

I like seeing each segment relating to the next, as you're showing here Neptune my friend, and for which sharing of knowledge I am grateful to you.

Kind and Respectful Regards Neptune my friend, Uyraell.

Wow, thanks. I enjoy building it and watching it come together as well. I'm taking shortcuts and moving fast on it, knowing that I'm going to fiberglass it and not terribly concerned about small issues, I know I can fix the little things with glass and bondo. I'm not trying to win a contest with this, or anything, this is just something I've been meaning to do since last year. I will say this, it's freakin huge!
