Newbie NX01 build

Hey guys,

This is my first thread... so hopefully things and pictures will come out OK. As per subject, I will be posting my progess with Clever's Enterprise NX01.

First off, very impressed with the graphics and details on this model. Kudo's to the designer.

There are no instructions per se (which is why I made comments on a previous build) so I am sort of building in order of the parts list/diagrams at the end of the pdf. First off is the bottom saucer section.

Currently working on the top of the saucer.

My concern at this point will be combining the two. It looks like I have to add my own tabs to connect the middle section, but how do ensure a good fit and I as I cannot reach the tabs to "push" them together? Otherwise if I leave the top saucer half finished to reach under to get to the tabs (that will still be difficult) then I have the same problem with finishing that. Just some of my current concerns and wonder how others have dealt with that.

just a little comment from me: if i see it right, you build the reworked version! thats good for you, because this version is 100% buildable!

forget the "Kudo´s", because it is a converted version from a game! It is not a big thing to make a papermodel from a game model! but the first version was not really buildable!

Edit: on a second view i see, that you have the original version and not the reworked! i wish aou now good luck for the build! You need it!

DWHALE... is the reworked version available somewhere? If so, can I use what I currently have built or do I have to start over again from scratch?

inlay a ring inside and up a little on the rims, then use peg and holes to put together, use a poster board thickness for the peg and hole rings

The version is a bit diffrent to the original, but no intersections! you can see it here:

Fantastic builds! I do have a question... I am killing myself trying to assemble those tiny red nacelle domes... is there a trick to that or do I need to break out my microscope!

LOL! Funny! Nice build thus far, though it's not my favorite ship, I do respect your build of the subject material.
