Good work on the canopy, Small details to be worked out. erase the hinge connectors on the canopy frame if you want it to look like a sliding canopy. Around the base of the cockpit, I would place a small strip of black edging to guide the canopy so it will not slide inwards into the canopy. Overall, I am pleased to watch this thread, Thanks for sharing and see you around the forums.

Can't wait to see your pilots in place!

I built a CGI model of this ship in Blender, years ago:

You can always tell when it's my Starfighter mesh, because I added grab handles on the hull and canopy to assist the pilots in entry/egress. I based my model on Alan Sinclair's blueprints. This has always been my favorite small-ship design.

Thank you, that is a GREAT IDEA! I will try that with the actual detailed build.
I will post photos to show how it works out.

So you are the one who made this. I have seen this pic floating around the internet for quite some time. You did a GREAT JOB on it!!!

I have seen the renders, too! This model is absolutely FANTASTIC! Great to (finally) know who created this! It's a true honour to meet you, Sir!

Does your model feature an interior, too?

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

Here are a few photos showing a pilot inside the cockpit.

Granted, the pilot is a bit small (1:35 scale) compared to the cockpit (1:32 scale), but it still works nicely!

I have given Revell-Fan the GREEN LIGHT on this cockpit to be submitted to Martin Sanger for approval and to be uploaded to his site.
Once Revell-Fan finishes a few touch ups on the QUAD, I will test build it as well.
In the mean time, I am going to build a DETAIL version of this plane now (I will post photos, of course).

Please stay tuned to your local Earth Directorate Broadcasting channels for further updates as they happen.
Thank you for watching.

Thanks, y'all. It was a labor of love. No, the model did not include an interior. At the time, my Blender knowledge was not up to the task of a transparent canopy.

Here's the one action pic I rendered of my model.

Rhaven, a comment about the pilot, if I may? The Buck Rogers TV show had TWO elements that made it worth watching. One was the Starfighter, which whenever it was on the screen had me riveted with attention, and the other was Wilma Deering, who... yeah, the same. If you're going to make a pilot, shouldn't it be Wilma?

And then, shouldn't you slip me a copy of the build file?
