Thank you both for the compliments.

@Thokamous: You might still be able to find DVDs of both seasons of BRTC25 on amazon.com.

@Neptune: raising or recessing panels is the easiest way to add detail to texture and give the model a more "realistic" look and feel.
Good luck with your Viper.

Aft (engine) section, belly, and wings

Here is an update on my progress. As you can see, I am still adding even more detail to the model by enhancing the texture and either raising, recessing (or both), and isolating some feature. Here are the photos below:

Here I raised most of the panels and isolated some of the texture by cutting out the inner areas that are open.

Finally finished!!!

I have finally finished my detailed TF. As you can see, I did make the canopy hinged, and yes, I know that it is not canon. That is the joy of fan based builds, you can do what ever you want.
Here are the photos for your viewing pleasure.

Here I attached the landing gear.

This is the back part of the canopy.

This is the inside of the canopy with a "CLOCK" that I detailed out.

As you can see, I recessed the dial and raised the buttons.

I raised some of the textured detail on the canopy.

I used the tape style hing that I featured in my thread on making Functioning Cockpit Canopies for the Buck Rogers Thunder Fighter. Here is the thread:

congrats! so far a great work and I love how you raised those surface details. I'm very ignorant in this field... did all those different fighters appear in the show? some of them are beautiful, I like the one in the upper left corner of the pic

Thank you very much for the kind wrods and encouragement. That means alot coming from a master build er like you.

Only three variants were ever in the original series, the rest are all fan based. The forward swept wing versions, were of my design. I scratch built the larger FSW-TF (the one in the center), then I designe the others as a kit with the help of another desinger that designed the rest of the kit.
BTW, all of these kits can be found here:
