Ford Prefect Hitchiker's Guide (BBC)

Okay - for all 6 of us Hitchiker's fans here is my best shot at a Ford Prefect model to accompany Marvin.

Turned out to be a real challenge (read PITA) for me, but I'm fairly happy with the result considering how nondescript David Dixon's face is (well that's my excuse).

At leat I managed to get the most of Ford's hitchiking kit in there i.e. 6 pints of beer, 2 packets of peanuts, the guide (and case), the thumb, a towel, and even a babel fish in a jar that's in the process of being spilt over the pub table onto classic British pub carpet...

Anyway - time for a breather methinks ;D

Oh and the can of peaches appeared in the special edition DVD...

12 ..... This is an exceptional vignette, and brilliantly done!
I echo SPJ's comment, Ford's face came out very well indeed, yet the other details included in the vignette bid fair to outshine the fine work of the face, simply by virtue of the intricacy and finesse those details incorporate.

I am very impressed with the Ford Prefect vignette, and warmly Congratulate you on a mighty fine achievement.

Kind and Respectful Regards BazookaJo, Uyraell.

Thanks to all for the positive comments

As I said - I found it a challenge to design it in a way that even a ham-fisted buffoon like me can build - my first idea was a kind of Hako+ but I feel I've taken it a wee bit further than that.

I also wanted to keep them roughly in scale with my other head knockers, and while I think I'm pretty good on the design and kit front, assembling a jar the size of a pencil eraser was on the very limits of my dexterity, and I reckon some of the guys on here would have made a far neater job.

Still, I reckon a bit of poster paint and dry brush technique should hide some of those nasty seams ;D
