that is where i decided to glue the assembly backwards. it was a good idea at the time i think? but the reason escapes me now... but anyways i was able to seperate it no problem since it is built so solidly. heh it was a bear to seperate too... just as it is allmost dry i see i did it backwards...

ah well the life of a paper modeler is full of little suprises...

just in case your interested. this is the printer i was talking about. it came with the cis system preinstalled. i really love this wide format printer...

and i think the price was reasonable but i did get the one with the option for the pigment ink so its a bit more than the dye ink option.

hehe its really really hard not to print stuff just because i can!!!

Build seems to be going very well. The printer will definitely be 'put through its paces' by the time this is done.

I thought I'd done a pretty good job of keeping up on the forum, but this is the first time I'd seen the reference to cotton balls. It makes sense. I've been using tissue paper wads ...

Thanks for letting us have a peek at this project

i thought about that as well. but the cotton is easier to compress or expand as needed and forms to the corners more completely.

hehe allready ordered a ink refill just incase but i really doubt ill need it.

today we added the 3rd section to the pressure chamber stuffed and filled with cotton like the others. i think im going to have to get several big bags of that stuff.. it goes pretty quick when i compress it inside.

the 3rd module had a small fit issue with the cube on top it would bow when the model was sealed and tried to break the glue. i thought i was very exact when i scored the part. i would suggest to test close it repeatedly to make sure all the folds match perfectly. me i just glued it...

now some pics.

AND I FOUND THE CAMERA!!!!

last bit for tonight the second wing...

its starting to dawn on me how large this model is going to be... it will be very large, i hope i can suspend it from the ceiling under some spotlights.

and the wife is starting to keep a eye on it when she realised its part 1 of 30...

stated by said wife, if that thing comes out of the studio. Be afraid, Be very afraid...

to which i replied if it does come out of the studio, its game over man... game over!!

lol

here are some pics.

and i do hate to hold a model while the glue drys... here is one of the crazy
things i do to auto dry the model... sadly world of warcraft is being ignored.... my poor pandarian..
