You better finish it. I'm gonna figure out a way to see it in person after you do. (I won't bring my brother though, cause he'll try and steal it.)

This is amazing! Where is this going to go once complete and how are you going to display the interior? Are you not planning on making an exterior skin to cover things up?

The ribbon cables are just that, ribbon cables. But I give up about the tanks themselves, no idea where you took them from...
Mixed media is where it's at.
You are correct on the ribbon cables.

Ha! Once it's done, I'll likely display it at the Phoenix Comicon at least once.
Still thinking I'll sell it once I'm done though... but not sure yet.

Yeah, that's what I keep telling myself. I'm the only one crazy enough to do it.
Besides, there's the 1/100 Klingon D-7.

Just needed some encouragement, have a ton of irons in the fire right now.

Close, no dice. I'll post a shot of them in their original form later today.

Thank you. It looks far better in person, believe me. Love/hate cameras.
It will live in my house when not on display (likely exhibit it at the Phoenix Comicon at least once). I'm building it modular, so storage is not an issue, believe it or not.

Decks can be removed individually (except the 'Neck' pylon, I made the decision to hardglue those decks to each other for support and you could see both sides anyway) for viewing.

I will be skinning it with removable hull plates so it can be completely closed or displayed half open on one side or any mixture of the two.

I'm also considering doing a set of "battle damage" plates just for kicks.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys.
Things have been kinda... well, I don't want to say "black", let's call it grey... lately. Lots of irons in the fire, so every bit helps.

Be back soon. Really want to start work on the warp nacelles and put those plasma balls to good use.

Ooh. I'll definitely have to try and make it to that Comicon. If you were doing the Enterprise D, I could guarantee you a buyer in my brother. He's addicted to that one.
