Ah... okay. Glad I had 3D glasses!

Without a ruler to compare the figure size, can't say. I would think the problem would be the base, though.

Side view, Port:
(Side view of the bottom deck, with the beginnings of the 'bilge' area underneath. Okay, if it were an 1800's sailing ship, it would the 'bilge' area.)

(Another view, straight on to the side. You can see the graduation on the bilge walls underneath. No texturing on them yet.)

Next two decks, ready for wall placement:
(One has been painted the base floor coat, the other not. I still haven't decided if I want to continue to paint the flooring, or texture overlay it. For the cargo areas, I will likely continue to paint. For the living/working areas, I will probably overlay.)

Stay tuned, more to come.

"Just... keep away! You green-blooded half-breed!"

So... update time. I haven't been idle, I assure you.

Bilge Deck shaped. Some interesting curves there.

Lower Deck re-floored to match other decks (bye-bye beautiful handpainting).

Cargo Deck 90% complete. Fighting myself on amount of greebling/color of cargo areas. Half tempted to leave them white for the contrast. Anyone know what color TOS era cargo containers were?

Template for Fabrication Deck cut out, adjusted turbolift holes for proper placement.

Ah, but you want pictures, don't you? Fine, fine...

Top View, Port Side:

(From top down, Fabrication Deck, Cargo Deck, Lower Deck, Bilge Deck)

Front View, Fore Side:

(From top down, Fabrication Deck, Cargo Deck, Lower Deck, Bilge Deck)

1/100 TOS Enterprise Mega Build-p1010004.jpg

Front View, Fore/Port Side:

(You can tell the support walls on the Cargo Deck still have not been cut to shape- as stated above the deck is about 90% complete. This also highlights one of the lurking 'trouble' areas; which is where the curve of the ship mates with the beginnings of the deflector dish housing.)

1/100 TOS Enterprise Mega Build-p1010005.jpg

Side View, Port Side:

(Closer shot of the Lower and Bilge Decks. The open spaces between decks to the right of the frame will be where the triangular ladder/Jeffries tubes will be. On the blueprints, these are indicated as stairways, but I don't recall ever seeing a stairway on the Enterprise... so they're Jeffries tubes now.)

1/100 TOS Enterprise Mega Build-p1010008.jpg

Front/Port View, Port Side:

(Here I've removed the Fabrication Deck template to show the Cargo Deck. As stated, this deck is about 90% complete, so forgive any rough/unfinished areas. The 'horns' will eventually become the Deflector Dish housings.)

"Oh Charlie's our new darling, our darling, our darling..."

Continuing on our tour of the Cargo Deck:

Fore/Port View, Port Side:

(From right to left: Final room for Tractor Beam (unbuilt as yet), Turbolifts, Cargo pods. I decided to utilize several wall heights at this point to clarify the interior views.)

1/100 TOS Enterprise Mega Build-p1010010.jpg

Midship View, Port Side:

(Here you see the access port for the Jeffries tube(s). These go all the way to the Bilge deck, and will contain the triangular ladders seen in many episodes.)

1/100 TOS Enterprise Mega Build-p1010011.jpg

Midship/Aft View, Port Side:

(Moving back, we see the rear Turbolift shaft, part of the Cargo transporter. Transporter console will go in the little alcove to the left of the transporter pad.)

1/100 TOS Enterprise Mega Build-p1010012.jpg

Aft View, Cargo Deck:

(The rear of the cargo deck. Still rough in spots. You can see why I'm toying with the idea of greebling out the cargo pods a tad.)

1/100 TOS Enterprise Mega Build-p1010013.jpg

Aft View, Starboard Side:

(Another look at the Cargo Transporter pad, console alcove and turbolift shafts. Lots of clean up work to do here.)

Continued...

wow
i am stunned
is this for sale, or a fan movie?
are you going to put tv screens in it for the cast to be there in a window?
im just amazed.
what kind of lighting plans do you have for the impulse and warp engines,
i am really wondering if this is the next phase in model building...... the whole inchelada built and i just.....idont know, ive always wanted something like this, but it was too big to think about.
it is going in a resturaunt or museum?
sorry for going on so, but i am really impressed.

"I'm a doctor, not a bricklayer."

Continuing on:

Fore View, Starboard Side:

(Closer view of the turbolift shaft/hallway and an empty space where more cargo pod greebling will go.)

1/100 TOS Enterprise Mega Build-p1010015.jpg

Which concludes our tour of the Cargo Deck for now.

I'll finish this round with:

Fore View, Port Side:

(Purely to show the archwork in the bilge area; getting the curves right here was crucial or I'll run into serious trouble when I skin the ship. Also, I'm of the opinion that every area should be accessible, so I took the liberties of adding archways. The Jeffries tube(s) access this deck just in front of the rear bulkhead.)

1/100 TOS Enterprise Mega Build-p1010017.jpg

Stay tuned.
