Detailed Tie-Fighter

Hi
today I finished my version of ninjatoes great Tie-Fighter-model. Many thanks to ninjatoes for the nice model. I recolored it and vectorized it. It was a lot of work and I startet a lot of testbuild attempts, but finally I got it. I also modified the wings a little bit, for example I reduced the thickness of them. I used also corrugated cardboard to increase the stiffness of the wings. So here are some Pictures of my version of a great hand-drawn Tie Fighter model.

regards loenf

Did you paint the black portions? I know my printer would not have printed that well even at the best setting. It looks very good. How large is this?

Hi,
i printed every part, also the black ones (I used a laserprinter). The model is 230mm high 190 mm deep and 170 mm wide. I think I wil build a smaller one half size big. But first I have an other project.

regards Loenf

Amazing work, Sir. I've been interested in building this version, but I always thought the wings/fins were too thick as well. I am interested in how you worked around this?
