btw, another thing about the model - i appreciated how tightly Mirco arranged everything on just 2 sheets of paper - less paper waste after you cut the parts out. i'm a little bit of a treehugger so i grant another point to the designer for consciously (or even if unconsciously) doing it that way.

I know you said that you like the look of the non-textured version, but you might want to follow this build up with doing the textured one for comparison. Usually during a first build, you see the steps you need to be more careful with the next time. I mentioned in another thread about the fleet of momirfarooq snowspeeders I built a while back. The first one I kept. I like it even though it is unacceptable to give away. The second one looked much better as far as everything being 'true'. The other two went together amazingly well. I really think you should do the textured version to go with this one.

that's a sound advice, Vermin_King - practice makes perfect. also, i did have 'aha, that's how it should have been done, darn' moments during the build. i'll think about it - maybe this time i'll spray the sheets with a sealer too, do everything by the book.

i also want to build new stuff, though i cant decide what yet ..

First build? Not bad.
The two small intakes below the cockpit should have been placed on the inside instead of sticking out, but let's call it artistic license .

Thanks for your comments about the kit .

himself?!
thanks, Mirco ))

i admit i couldnt figure out if the intakes were supposed to go with the hollow side in or the other way around, so i did hollow side out and sticking out a little - for some reason looked like a good idea at the moment ..
