How big is this Enterprise in comparison to the original TV Enterprise?
(I'd like to build this paper model in proper scale to my plastic AMT orig. Enterprise)

What is the actual length of your model?

Never mind...I just found out! LOL

Apparently Abrams decided to upsize the new Enterprise by 2.5 times!

Why?!

So that means to stay in scale with my 16" long original Enterprise,
I have to build this model at 40" long!!!
lol
so much for that idea.

the cgi model was made bigger for the fx shots for the movie, but in actuality its supposed to be the same size as the original.

Thanks for the complements, all tabs that could be removed were in the model to ensure that it remained as smooth as possible.

Yes, Outstanding build! Don't care for the subject material, but the execution is exemplary.
