Here are pictures of the Star Trek: TOS Communicator (Beta Version) from Michael Haggard.

I built it as a gift to a friend who is a big Star Trek fan.

Looks really good. Any trek fan would welcome a gift of this nature. For 2 reasons, 1 it's a Communicator and 2 you took the time to make it yourself. I always thought it would be cool if you could get a trek cell phone...

There was a guy who made bluetooth speakers for cellphones that looked like communicators. They had working sound effects and a rotating screen mechanism to make an accurate moire pattern.

i seem to remember about 8 years ago there was a communicator cellphone in some teck geek web magazine, red something......
