Hi All
Finally got RocketMan's plans blown up to 1/8 scale.
Had some problems with "waves", not sure why! I sub-assembled the walls and sandwiched them between some books but they came out wavy and when I glued on a foam-core backer board all the panel/windows came out wavy too! Maybe someone can tell me what I did wrong!
Anyway, the TARDIS is massive at 1/8 scale.
The pics show it with the original 1/16 scale model, a real pop can and my Dalek plastic model kits in 1/8 scale. Enjoy!

Did you use a spray adhesive? Usually I've only had problems with waves when I went too heavy with the glue. The moisture content messes with the paper.

Dear Petseal:
When you glue onto large areas it is best to use a spray glue with out water in it. If you are stuck with using water based glues and it comes out wavy you can Iron them with a clothes iron (no Stream) on the Linen setting iron both sides and put under weights again and let set overnight.

That's what I did alright, too much "wet" glue over too large an area!
Luckily this model was for reference only and is not a keeper.
I forgot to put the size of the TARDIS down, it's 12.5" tall, 6.25" at the widest and the cabinet is just over 5.5" both ways. So it does make for a lot of gluing area!
Can you tell me what kind of spray adhesive you would recommend for paper modelling?
Thanks for the input, it is very much appreciated!
Later, Petseal

Dear Petseal:
Most papermodelers use Scotch 77 Spray
Hope this helps,
MILES
