Did the tail surfaces next:

I did change a few things here. The flaps are not layered to look like those on the plastic model, which makes it look way better. Should have done it to the Thunderbolt too, in hindsight. Second thing is a new part, number 42 which is the thingy on top of the wings. Still needs some editing, as it is too wide and not the right color, but again, the plastic model has this.

I really like what you are doing to (and with) these models. The extra work and detail that you put into these models really set them appart and make the a cut above the rest (please excuse the pun).
I intend to add this to my (EVER GROWING) collection.

Thank you for sharing your work with us.

Thanks for the support! I might finished the Lightning tonight, only have to do the guns and the wing bolts (all 16 of them). And I could even detail it more, like adding several hoses and vents to the main engine bits. Especially part 6c could do with more detail.

I added reinforcements too the main wing parts, just a double layer of the box cardboard (the one with the wave pattern inside), which was slightly too thick, but can be molded easier than heavy card like i used on the other wing surfaces. Makes the wings a lot lighter too.

After I finish the Lightning, I'm going to start on a Gundam model, the Sword Impulse from Paper-Replika.com. Have been wanting that one for as long as the show existed, but the tiny plastic kits are not cool enough.

Okay, the Lightning is available now from my website and here as soon as it gets approved. Nearly done with the build, just have to glue on the remaining bolts and the guns.

Thats very cool, I'd love to see that completed.

As far as I can tell judging by the Forgeworld pictures, the missiles are basically the Manitcore's missiles.

Just started to look at building some of the Patoroch Chimera variants myself, just not sure what is best to use as a base material as I have never built a paper kit myself!
