Legion's WH40K Bonanza

Wanted to make a Warhammer 40.000 model, but decided on building 2, the Chimera APC and the Destroyer Tank Hunter, because they looked cool and complement eachother and have matching paint schemes. Model was designed by Patoroch (find the link for the file in the Warhammer goodness thread).

Started off with the Chimera APC:

So far so good, only had to modify a few parts to make it fit. Biggest issue was the piece between part 4(right front) and 5(left front). It was slanted the wrong way, but luckily the file was vectored and easily changed.

I finished the Chimera APC:

More images in the gallery: WH40k Chimera APC.

Fun build, but MAN what a lot of layering... Going to do the Destroyer next and try to recolor Patoroch's Thunderbolt fighter to a scheme similar to both tanks.

Finished the recolor of the Thunderbolt:

Only inkscape can't merge 7 pages into one...

Started the Destroyer Tank Hunter:

Had to print the first page again, I used the wrong color for edge coloring. I used the extra pieces for more layering, like the yellow/blue circles and the viewport on the hatch.

More images can be found in the gallery, the link is in my signature.

The new paint scheme of the Thunderbolt looks really good.
Is it ready for download?

Not sure if I am allowed to distribute it. If I am allowed, I will upload it here and to my site, with full credits to Patoroch. I might even do more repaints in the future.

Finished the Destroyer Tank hunter:

Next to the Chimera APC:

I need to fix a few small things though, mostly adding more track detail on both (DTH didn't have enough for the whole track and I threw away the parts for the APCs tracks), but there is one part I have no idea where it goes, namely part 13:

If anyone could help with that one, it would be great.

Aditional build images are in the gallery.

See that part in picture #1? Take Parts 13a, and flod them onto each other, like the arrows show in picture #2, then they get glued unto part #13 at a vertical angle like the parts in picture #1. Then the whole thing gets glued to the rear on the underside slope, (Roughly along the blue line in the circle of picture #3)

Hope this helps

Thunderbolt

Btw, Excellent repaint of the Thunderbolt. If you are allowed to release it, I would love a copy
