SA-9, word is spreading about how awesomely awesome this movie is, so obviously the DVDs are flying off the shelves and all your local stores are probably sold out. It's available via streaming or disc on Netflix. The Vril ship model has been in the download approval queue for about 30 hrs now. It's usually faster than this. I'm guessing the approver is probably glued to the TV watching Iron Sky, so the delay is understandable, and forgivable .

I'm glad you enjoyed it, SA9. It does build up into a pretty sweet looking model.

I tried watching Iron Sky, but unless I got the wrong version on Netflix or something, I didn't think it was all that good. Acting wasn't a big priority, and it seems they were paid by the "F" word. I drive a truck, and I still haven't heard that much swearing. Call me prudish, but I had to turn it off after about 20 minutes.

just saw the dvd
weird movie.
I see the rise of womens power, probably accurate.
nice moon stuff.
great Nazi warships.
the ironic humor was good.
great fight scenes.
still,.....it was not at all what I expected to see.
but power maddened Nazis warring to take over the world is always a great plot, especially with flying saucers!

I think it could have been an awesome movie if they'd toned down the swearing a bit. The edited for TV version is either gonna be a silent movie, or sound like they only speak morse code in the future (depending if they put silence over the words, or bleep them out).

That's funny Aaron. It was like when I saw The Last Detail on network tv and I think 50% of the dialog was deleted.

Was there a lot of swearing?
There couldn't have been that much...I don't think I noticed.

I think they used the N word a lot...Nazi?
Kind of like Django Unchained?

If you like weird, funny, offbeat movies, I recommend it.
Mixed reviews. Well, I never said it was academy awards material. I didn't really notice the profanity either, Dave - becoming numb to it, I suppose. I thought that the special effects were better than expected for such a strange movie. I'm sure it'll be a "cult classic" someday along the lines of Eraserhead, Rocky Horror Picture Show, or the original Evil Dead. It's definitely taste specific. You have to be in the mood for crude, quirky offbeat weirdness to appreciate it, I guess.
