Dark Star Scoutship

Dark Star was a deliberately low-budget student project of Stephen Carpenter, who went on to make some bigger-budget horror flicks. Those were not to my taste at all, but Dark Star truly was a wonderful, imaginative film. I loved the scene where the crewman reviewed his personal journal, and you could see his deterioration over time, I loved the idea of re-entry surfing. And most of all, I loved the classical Greek philosophy debate with the robot bomb.
