I am very excited about this idea. If anyone needs a beta builder for a 1/400 Excelsior, I'm game.

The idea of a 1/400th scale Excelsior thrills me to the core. I made the Reliant for a friend not that long ago and added a few touches of me own to bring out the details. Needless to say he was a very happy camper, this ended up being a sort of beta build. So count me in .

I'd love to see your final build on that. Ever consider uploading pics and describing your additions?

I hope we can see the 400 Excelsior. The internal framing alone would take forethought. Would this level of size, detail, forethought, and instruction skill require a group effort?

I would welcome a 2 foot long version of the stargazer or the excelsior. not the Enterprise-b, why? I don't really know.

big excelsior

well, I guess I got tired of waiting, I know that a 1/400 scale is wanted, but that is really, really big. but this is about 20 inches long and without cutting it all to pieces and having 12 pages, its about as big as you are going to get. so I hope this fits the bill for a larger model people have been wanting. I think this is clever santoro's model, or it could be from jaybats and retextured.
