my attempt at UHU awesome X-WING

Have come to the conclusion i like small and fiddly over big and boxy and this, so far has been awesome fun.

the biggest take-away i have gained from this model if that those thickness guides on the wing-spa pages are very important. mine came out a little too thick and that has caused no end of problems when it came to getting the rear end on....

anyway, this represents the work to date... just have the remaining guns to do.

What thickness of paper is this model supposed to be printed on? I may have to try this one.

I printed it out on 110lb card stock and compared 4 sheets stacked together to the thickness reference line printed on sheet 2, and it seems pretty close, but I'm not sure if glue will add too much thickness.

I also have 80lb bright white card stock, which I think might look a lot better in terms of print quality, but 4 sheets of that together is a little thinner than the reference line. But again, if glue adds any appreciable thickness, it might be ok.

Your photos are great as is the model. One day I hope to take it on once I learn a lot more about modeling. I'm looking forward to this build. Good luck and keep the photos coming please. wc
