Bubble Ship from Oblivion

Is there any designer considering to create Bubble Ship from movie Oblivion?

I have started to sketch a drawing in AutoCAD, oversketching pictures, so my drawing will be quite accurate. Maybe I will start the design too, but at the moment I am not sure

Have been wondering why there hadn't been any designs coming from the movie. Though there were some interesting craft and was a pretty decent movie in my opinion.

Tekzo at paperhobby had started messing around with that model, don't know if he ever finished it or not.

He did do the rifle from that movie:

Doesn't look like the model was finished at paperhobby as he doesn't give a download link ...

BUT ... it's well worth looking around the rest of the blog. There are some far out designs there, and most of them have a Mediafire download link at the bottom.

Keep on snippin' ... Johnny.

Hello Robert,

thanks for beginning this construction. I hope you succeed, the pilot's bubble will be a hard challenge if it should be possible to have a look inside the cockpit!

Greetings

That is a great looking aircraft. A model of it would make a good display.

Probably would be nice to look around for some common clear plastic spheres and design the model around that size. Stuff like the plastic spheres from vending machines that have toys in them. Those seem to be a universal size since the origin is usually from the same country.

It wouldn't be necessary, if the model would be available as pdf, with reference buble diameter of basic desigh - then everybody could scale it down or up according the plastic sphere he would be able to get

Check with Michaels Stores, they usually have plastic spheres that come in different sizes.

@Tekzo: Sorry to hear about the hard disk error. What type was it? I found that using Linux helps to recover from some types of errors, even one of burning through a FAT file.

I follow Tekzo's site fairly religiously and I am sorry you lost all your stuff. I was really hanging out for the mobile gun diorama and the Oblivion craft now I keep and eye on this one.
Glad someone else has taken up the challenge
