I haven't made it through all the posts yet but was curious if there's a chance that a DS9 era Defiant would make it into the same-scale set as the other vessels?

Torpedo questions...

Either way, it's "official" that's what they are, which would make sense seeing how the Excelsior class is supposed to be more advanced and better armed than the Constitution class. I printed out the parts to do my own build, but haven't begun it yet (too much going on), but there is an Enterprise-B build thread for the old Clever model this is based on. It has some good pics.
Just to chime in, the square areas hold double launchers, vertically places, not horizontally, and the lower hull launchers are single tubes on each side. There are also dual tubes on either underside of the fantail, under the main shuttle bay, in front of the secondary shuttle bay.

See images of the studio model, as it was pretty clear on it when i inspected it.

There you go.

The top launchers are vertically staked, even though the opening for them looks like they should have been horizontal.

The lower ones on either side are obvious.

Does you have images of the fan-yail photorp launchers?

Now, if you want some controversy, ask about the two large editions to that aft of the saucer on the Ent B!!!

If you go to the Starship Modelers website and access the Tech Library: Hardware section you'll find lots of studio model pics, including lots of the Enterprise-B (Lakota). There are some shots of the aft torpedo launchers.
