TOS Enterprise Captains Chair - Build

Good evening.
I took a break from the Me-329 this weekend to build Perry's Captains Chair.
The one change that was done, was, that I decided to light the panels on the chair's arms.
Printed copies of the panels on an overhead transparency and inlayed them into the arms.

Then built a light box out of poster board to light block the area and mounted the LEDs inside. Standard 24lb white printer paper was placed inside for light diffusion and as reflectors inside.

A light test of the panel.

There is some light leak around the perimeter. This is only visible on the camera and is not seen with the the naked eye. Could have gone around it with tulip, but didn't bother.

Finished building the base of the chair, and another light test.

Finished building the chair, and mounted it onto a base, with a battery and on-off switch in the base.
This is the completed chair.

It was a fun little build. Always wanted the captains chair for my collection. This was also an experiment as this was my first lighting project and to try out some ideas that were in my head.

Thank you for following.

Jim
