AirDaves Tardis

Dear Friends:
New project, Don't know how I missed AirDaves Koolwheels Tardis but I did just found it and starting to build it love the fine cut lines. I printed it onto 110# Georgia-Pacific Card Stock, I know that AirDave uses 65# Card Stock, but it is what I have in house so far the fit is great. I am coloring the edges with water color pencil Pictures to follow.
Enjoy,
Miles

Glad to see this one coming to life again. One of these days I'm going to have to start keeping some of my models. That's one I wish I'd kept. I'm sure you will do a much better job than I did on mine

I built this one last fall for my supervisor at school. She's a total Whovian (sp?). She also has a 3D printed Tardis from one of our Make-it bot printers.

The model is great, but so small. I used too heavy of card for my folding abilities. That, and I lost my ruler before I built it, so my scores were NOT very straight.

Your build looks quite good Miles.

Dear willygoat:
Thanks for the encouragement I think that step 5 will prove the make or break of my build. Funny I have been thinking about printing it again with the use of the PDF print option of two pages on one page and make it into earrings will not use 110# stock however will try with 65# then look for some thing about 40# more pictures tomorrow.
Thanks,
Miles

Dear Friends:
More on the tardis. Pictures tend to say a lot. the posts are on, then the over posts and they fit even with the 110# card stock!!! I did change the folded base cut the fold apart to not have 3 cut side and one folded side also did same for the base of the light. Also See the sanded down toothpick to help glue up the light.
Another day or two to go,
Miles

Finished! fit was really good thanks to AirDaves great model. Also Mauther's Diorama base comes in handy.
Thanks for looking,

Miles it turned out great! I am a big fan of Doctor who (all 12 regenerations of the doctor), and I am a big fan of Airdave, but some how I missed his TARDIS, but I will shortly correct that error. I have 4 or 5 versions of the TARDIS including the BBC promotional papercraft TARDIS for thier "seven cities five continents one doctor" tour that they posted.

That made me check. I have 9 on my computer, but I think one of those is a duplicate in a different location.

Very nicely done, Miles
