Little Ship Beta Build.
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I know that it is been awhile since I have done a test build of something other than BRTC25 or BSG. I am test building the Little Ship designed by Plumdragon (Just click on My Little Ship to view the development of this ship). Now I am going to post the photos of the thread based on the sheets of the instruction. So let's get started. There are 2 pages of parts with a total of 26 parts. The actual build (and the instructions) are very straight forward and easy to follow. Starting with the main platform. The center spine is attached The cockpit area is attached.

Here is page two (2)
I started with the front end of the skins and (slowly) worked my way back The front skin (the cockpit) is attached. The next section (that has the hatches) is assembled and attached. The hatch components are assembled. The last top skin is attached.

Here is page 4 (the main engines)
Here are the parts for the main engine assembly. The assembly is complete. The main engines are attached. Finally, the hatches are attached. (The model is FINISHED) Like I said earlier. This is an easy and straight forward build. If you are looking for a good build that you can knock out in the course of an evening (in front of the T.V. or listening to the radio), I fully recommend this model. I have contacted Plumdragon and sent him my thoughts and suggestions on this build for his final review, (possible) approval and (possible) release. I hope that you enjoyed this thread. Plumdragon, Thank you once again for giving th opportunity to beta test build this model!

Indeed he DOES! :-) It's been a long time since I saw any of my models built by anyone else, and Rhaven has done a splendid job! He has some great suggestions for adding 'extras' in the kit (e.g. more layering for depth, 'proper' louvres on the belly etc) which I will work on. That's the straightforward bit - altering the instructions will take the longest ;-)
My thanks Rhaven, for a great job and great review. Plumdragon |

Very nice. I particularly like 'easy' models that produce a finished product that doesn't look easy

This is also a great starter kit for youngsters who are interested in paper model building!
It is easy enough to build but still challenging enough to learn about the hobby and how to make a good model (and how to do greebling).

Thank you for your comments, my friends :-) 'Greebling' .... well, I had to Google that one, having no idea what it is! I'll be interested to see my Little Ship greebled by Rhaven (if he finds the time!) At 300dpi and 4" long I thought the model a little small for texturing (as mentioned in my build thread) but the one I printed on glossy photo paper came close to how I wanted with the little texturing I did. I'm just an old fashioned 'colour' man, but always willing to learn, I trust :-) Can one greeble with Photoshop 7 ???
