Warhammer 40K Space Marine

Hi,
I'm more of an aviation modeller, but as a request from my son, I tried to design a Space Marine. having no correct drawings to work from, I created my own approximate ones and obtained this preliminary result.

Now I need to correct it, give it more depth with added layers, color it and give it a little foot plate.

I'll try to post the result of that later.

your comments are, of course, welcome.

Bruno

Bruno,

Great Job! I really, really like it! Please continue to develop it. On a related note, I want to point out a couple that have been done by other designers:

Thanks, Armorman.

I saw these models, but as often, I need to try by myself and make it simple enough to build for myself.
I noticed that my model has some flaws and has other proportions than the WH models. So I need to adapt it.

I'll keep you posted.

That's the best way to do it! You may come up with a more streamlined version than those of us who are going nuts on the detail....I look forward to your design!

Here are some pictures of the reviewed model. I must admit that for the thickness effect I took the inspiration from the models you mentioned.
I know I'm not the best edge coloring person (and not even the best builder) so the model is not perfect. At least it starts to look like a Space Marine.

The legs, arms, shoulderplates and buttock plate have been installed.
Only the backpack to go.

At least, I'm getting closer to a decent result.

and later I'll design some weapons.

Some pictures to show the evolution.

And here is the finished result.
Still room for improvement and not the most agressive pose, but we are getting somewhere
I end up with 42 parts

Perhaps some repainting would make it even better, especially the edges.

Now I need to build a few planes before returning to this design.
