Perhaps this is the nudge I need to finish something after a very long period of build block. The weekend weather calls for snow and more snow. So if I don't get it done now I might not ever.
This is one of the very fine Huns from the TSMC site. Curt |

I have a hard enough time building 'normal' size. Congratulations on a wonderful build, it looks perfect. Were you able to use the assembly aid that is provided for the landing gear? I hope that I can come see this in person. Your friend,

I started Clever Santoro Lopes Bird of prey resized by Legal01 to 1/400 scale when I was waiting for ink and paper for my recolors that I am doing of Ninjatoe's Mk-II Viper. As you can see I have to fix the bottom, but I am pretty far in to the build before I stopped. Been busy, but I will try to do some work on it each day hopefully. The vipers in the back ground are an old version, and the new version of the NASA viper recolor, which I just finished building the new version a little while ago.

well, Ron, I was using silver paper from micheals art and craft supply. I didn't realize that I could roll the parts for the legs continually unti lit separated into two sheet pieces. I did that on the nozzles, but I didn't want to crush them by snipping the ends. and sawing with a razor would tear it. filling them with hot glue and cutting them works, but I just found that out today. so I should have done that for the landing gear, but I didn't realize it in time. but that's what I love about this hobby! you are always stretching, learning, realizing, improving!! I only got about 50 pages printed of models to build sitting there for me lol. looking forward to Garcia's dude!

I have built that one once. in black and white to save ink. its not a hard model to do though its very intimidating to look at the pages. I would use a lot of popsicle sticks or coffee stirrers for supports. and slit the join panels on the block parts so they don't bounce out like a balloon. other than that, its a really good model! you will like it, it looks mighty tough sitting there. good luck! |

yep , that's what we got here.
I wish that I would have added circles to the inside landing leg part, up in the support of the landing bay. I'm thinking that if I just put the entire landing bay part on there, it can be one piece to fold and glue. also I'm thinking of redoing a page, so if you flip the page over and print it, it will line up correctly and print the other side of the landing leg on the back. all you will have to do is cut it out and both sides are done. also I have to re-do the steps. I might just make the steps individually and let it go at that, to simplify the process. maybe with a flap on the bottom of the step in the rear of it and you fold the piece over to make a completed stair step. |
