MEDIC!!!!

Mech Down!!

Trouble has befallen the build.

About a week or so ago, Atlas was damaged, a framed poster(which I haven't hung up yet) fell over and crushed Atlas.

Only the right foot was damaged, paper creased and the toes bent.
So all structural integrity of the paper was lost, also some of the other paper was dented higher up the leg, but I don't think that will hinder Atlas standing on its own.

I have been pondering as to how to fix the damage, and I believe that I have come up with a method to fix it.

I have some hard cardboard rolls(the core to my plotter paper), which I plan to cut to the right height of the foot, and slip in 2 segments, and in both feet, just to give it some weight, and help with the overall standing up of the mech.
To do this, I think I will open the back of the foot, and slide in the spacers, and use some glue to tack it all into place.

Hopefully this will solve also the forward lean of the mech, as the size and weight of multiple pieces is making Atlas lean.

I will update and photo document the surgery

Rick

I see it has been a while since an update has been made on this model, wondering what is going on and if we will have a chance to build this awesome mech?

Mike,

You need to ask Jepi on Deviant Art for the files

I am at the stage right now, that I am considering rebuilding everything from the legs up, the arms and the weapon have remained unscathed, so I won't need to those, I have the legs printed, but need to print up the torso

but with the impending changes to my future i might not have any time to start a rebuild
