Titanfall, Atlas

Hi all,

I want to share with you my next build, the Atlas mech/suit from the videogame Titanfall.

I received the file from the designer, Jepi12, his reasoning for sending me the files, was because I did a great job with two of his other kits, the Sentinel and his Optimus Prime

After 79 pages, the kit was printed, all parts, legs, arms, weapon, body, hips and back piece and the base are in pepakura's pdo file formats.
So I can use the files to build each of the sub assemblies

Attached is a picture of the final stack of paper.

I hope to share the build as I progress

Rick

Haven't played the game, but have been following it.

More paper mech suits are always cool.

First 12 pages done, and a total of 25 pieces to build the body.

Now on to putting all 25 parts together

How would I get a copy of this kit (bought or free)? Jepi12 (Jeff) is somewhat roundabout in explaining kit availability.

Any ideas from your side?

You can buy the kit from jepi, runs $20, i would assume through paypal, but i haven't bought any of his models yet

you could drop my name if you want to get the model for free, he does allow for that too

So, after an evening of sticking blocks together, I ended up with first of 8 sub assemblies

the ruler in behind is reading just a tad over 7.5 inches tall, and the glue bottle is the 4 fl oz version of Aleene's Turbo Tacky Glue.

Looking great! (Love the turbo tacky glue myself. That stuff is super glue for paper.)

the build has slowed to a crawl, mainly due to my own lack of attention

One of the things that Jepi has done with his models is to turn on the Extend Color on to the tab option.
Normally I turn that off, because I am accurate with the scoring, and precise when lining up glue surfaces.
so this back piece(jump jets and other bits) was printed with the edge coloring on, so I struggled to score all the black parts of that piece, even used a magnifier to see the fold/score lines in order to get the tabs and score lines done.

All parts are cut out now, and awaiting in a pile to be glued up
