USS Enterprise NCC-1701 A [Shunichi Makino Build]

Chief engineer's log
Stardate four-one-one-six-one-point-one-two

I just started to build this model a week ago. So far, I haven't finished half of it. But I must say, it's going pretty well. I find it difficult to balance my studies with this especially that my thesis is going up close.

As with the build, I have improvised an additional two supporting rims for the saucer hull. Due to the unclear service manual provided, I have to blindly assemble the navigational dome and the sensor array mainframe.

I send my gratitude to Mr. Shunichi Makino for this wonderful build.

Update: Secondary Hull

Chief engineer's log
Stardate four-one-one-six-three-point-six-two

The secondary hull is finally complete. I tried to make it seamless as possible. And I think my experience is honing my crafting skills.

Captain Kirk will definitely love this. It's time to make up to his expectations now that I replaced Mr. Scott.

Thank you! I'm planning to build as many starships as possible if time permits me.

Update: Complete

Chief engineer's log
Stardate four-one-one-six-three-point-six-two

After a week, it's finally done. I just attached all the parts together. And it now looks more like a starship.

Just a tip for those who are going to build this in the future: be careful of the wing and nacelle. If you haven't noticed, I used a nylon string to hold the wings and prevent them from dropping down.

I would definitely build this thing again in the future.

Fine-looking build! (And it isn't "vanity." It is "pride in a job well done....")
