Hi!
Looks cool! Eject handles were planed to be between pilot legs, but looks nice on headrest too. Please refer attached pic indicating how handle edges. Also - there two pins required to make nose part detachable. |

Thank you for this thread, I have been thinking of trying this model but was not sure about my skill to build it without instructions....Rich

Hi Rich , build it ! it's really not difficult and all the pieces fit without problems. not to forget, it looks great
Hello Necroscope, thank you for Information , I paint the nose und put 2 pins on it. As soon as I translated the new report , I'll set it here.

The catch hook
The catch hook
(I should better not ask Achim now “It’s an aircraft, honey … Shoudn’t it fly instead of catching something?” … Now it’s obvious that my ‘technical understandig’ is rather weak than brilliant. But let’s talk about my typing speed! It really is better than his … HAHAHA) You will find all parts of the catch hook and the catch hooks box in the pics! Constructing the catch hook offers you two possibilities: Construct it fully articulated or rigid (in extended position). Achim’s is fully articulated (why choosing an easy way to go when there is the opportunity to take a challenging task?) The cylinders he built are not made out of paper; he used a thin brass tube (outer diameter = 2mm). For the cylinder rod a thinner brass tube of course (1mm). What reason for? He said: “Constructing paper cylinders in this scale would be much more difficult than using brass tube for it”. Do not worry about the assembly: it’s realy easy. Hints for parts to reinforce for stability reasons or to double up with cardstock – cardstock thickness needed is definded - on the fotos … as usual. If everthing is done just fix the whole box into the aircrafts back.

The aircrafts gun – 75 mm –
The aircrafts gun – 75 mm –
(Run for cover! Foremost women and children .. and save our cat at the same time!) As already known: Take a look on the pics … it’s helpful! For building the aircrafts gun several work steps have to be done successively: First of all: Ammunition containers with fixtures. Continue with the gun and its shock absorber. Attention: the gun barrel is not on the model-building-sheet … so said Achim because he didn’t find it… But ”No problem!” Achim said. His solution? Just make the barrel gun by using a paper roll (160g) measuring a total length of 125mm. For the appropriate cover only 2 two interior covers (to seal the appropriate covers so that you cannot look trough …) shoud be done: 1 x front, 1 x back. But Achim applied 4 interiors covers because fixing the appropriate cover afterwards is much more easier to do. The shock absorbers sleeve is made out of paper. For the pistons: 1.5mm brass wire (… take the pistons length and brass wire length directly from the papercylinders length so it fits exactly!) The point for fixing the gun at the mount (there exist several suggestions for this word: mount … mounting … fixture … I am not able to recognize what’s the right english verb … sorry for that, guys) is the result of the shock absorber length when it is retracted. Work is done! The aircrafts gun is now fully articulated! At this stadium of modelling this awesome model devoloped by Necroscope: Thumbs up again for the high fitting accuracy of each part! It’s brilliant!!!!

What is the approximate scale of this model?
Looks like 1/32 scale or so. Isaac

Wheel well for landing gear
Wheel well for landing gear – it’s easy to do!
(Pics will give you more hints as usual) There is not much to say: cut out the parts – glue it – ready! Just an advice for the finish of the wheel well in front: do not forget to consider the correct direction for fixing the inside piece!

The motor – ‘start the engine – VROOOOM’
The motor – ‘start the engine – VROOOOM’
(the attached pics will be helpful) Achim doubled the frames of the crankcase because it is easier to glue. He continued drilling small holes (0,8mm) into the base parts of the cylinder heat so the parts are prepared for pushing through the rocker arms later. Necroscope got the idea first and Achim said: “It works perfectly!” The assembly of the motor is not really a problem but with a drop of bitterness: there are no cutouts for the inductionpipes and exhaustpipes (OMG? No, of course not, Achim … my smart fellow and his incredible bag of tricks!). He used aluminium wire (2mm) for the pipes and bell wire for the ignition cable. Aluminium wire is easy to form so doing the pipes is just a short thing. Cardstocktubes at the exhaustpipes end guarantee a optically clean finish and compensate differences of length as well. Mounting of brackets / holders? – Not yet … Later when the motor has to be fixed in the fuselage.
