MechCommander 2 Headquarters

Created paper models for the headquarter buildings of House Davion and House Steiner from the MechCommander 2 Shared Source release from microsoft.

Did it by hand in paint, so no pdo files :P
Also scale is a bit weird, but it is close!

Oh, the arrows mean to score along that line, and the X means to not score along the line.
I don't like putting fold lines on my models because I use them for tabletop play.

I kind of deviated from the in-game model for the Steiner headquarters, making it have an in-set roof instead of a rim on the outside. Also I textured the whole roof so the skylights are option to put on.

I've also made a variety of other nondescript buildings over the years, if there's interest then I'll post them!

These are great. It seems though that the posted JPGs are low res.

I can host these for download if you like on SmallRealities and include them in the Battletech Papercraft list.

They look fantastic! I haven't been to Small Realities yet, but I will definitely pay it a visit. What scale did you make these for, 28mm Mechs or Classic 1:285?

A SHORT TIME LATER...

WOW! You have a lot on your site! You even have my Leopard dropship--the one made by Dog Hair Terrain--That was the name of the company I ran in college, making custom wargames terrain...which led to paper models.

I am definitely bookmarking your site!

Yes jim has quite the collection!
And sure thing, it's just I can't seem to upload the .pdf as an attachment.

Also, yes the .jpgs are fairly low resolution, because MechCommander2 is a real-time strategy game and most of the textures are fairly small.

There is a size limit on pdf files as attachments. Try uploading it to the Downloads section which you can find at the upper right of the page. It needs to be approved by a moderator before it will be available for download.

Ah I figured it out :D
Just had to look in the "how to use the forums" section to find out how to upload.

The .pdf that has the headquarters also has one of my earlier buildings, because there was room left on the page. I'll post the link here once it's approved.

Note:
The scale in the .pdf files is for Classic Battletech, and each building takes up 2 hexes and is about height 1 with a height 2 tower.
If you want to make your own scale, feel free to use the pictures I posted here (the textures don't get any higher res than that, because of the age of the game...)

I'm a CBT player, which is why the Leopard was done in classic scale. If there was interest, I could easily enlarge it to 1:60, since the original files are vector graphics. Your buildings look great!

Okay, then to download just follow to my downloads page! ;P
Thanks for the feedback kjev, hope you enjoy.

I personally like them better than the large multi-hex diamond shaped buildings they use for the Battletech city maps. It seems more to scale, especially with the maps.
