I had somebody else build it, it's beyond my skill level. He says it's about 12 inches. Tells how good I am at measuring by eye.

Now its only 12"? COL
(COL = Cry Out Loud) A Designer not test building their own models is beyond my understanding but a designer not even knowing the basic dimensions of the model they've designed? I'm sorry Aaron...but I am a little frustrated right now ...since I just wasted 8 sheets of good cardstock and quarter of a can of Spray Sealer and two hours of model work as a result of your original "guess" at the size. I will now be tossing this all away and reprinting the model. I hope the rest of this build goes a little better?

Murphyaa you did a great job. Don't get caught up on what AirDave says, he has forgotten the true nature of the paper model. The wonder of imagination, creativity, the accessibility of the common man to made a paper model, and to make whatever you want for cheap.
AirDave if the cost of the supplies that you spent on this paper model is such a burden to you, since you are the common man i assume, i am willing to send you the funds to replace items. sincerely. |

yeah cool...look me up...I'll send you my email
and stop by my store. I'lll sell you the wonder of imagination, creativity, the accessibility of the common man to made(sic) a paper model, ...all for $8 Test built and with actual dimensions. Aaron?...this guy a relative of yours? lol Dragonmomma...you obviously aren't aware of how long I have known Aaron and he's heard much worse from bigger people than I. I think Aaron is tough enough to handle some criticism on his own. He's been playing this game as long as I have. And if you spend $11 on one of my paper models, and have a criticism or complaint, feel confident that you can come here and complain and get some help. Keep your money...I really don't need your help.

Sorry I misspelled one word, since you made a point of pointing that out. Why do I have the feeling that you have forgotten the wonderment of this hobby, and the fact that there are others who truly find joy in just making a model. Negative and non constructive comments take away from the fun of this hobby. You can be helpful, and constructive, and a great member of this forum....lead by example, positive thoughts!

As for attacking Dave based on him asking a question of a fellow designer, a bit uncalled for to be honest. Lastly, using your first two forum posts to pass judgement on someone else's posts is a bit odd. |

On a related note, I have no idea who Dragonmomma is. While I appreciate the defense, especially since it always seems like the harshest criticisms come whenever I'm feeling the lowest and about ready to throw in the towel on the whole endeavor, I don't hire people to defend me.
