To be fair, there was less defense of you Murph
and more opinion on what I might be offering the modeling community.
LOL
As Niki says, only two posts here and you start with that?

If I was talking to a new designer, or someone sharing a free personal design,
my attitude might be a bit different.
But as soon as I have to pay for that model...and pay a substantial amount for a digital paper model...
I expect it to be of a certain standard.

Thats my opinion whether you agree with it or not.
Maybe others don't care what they get for their $10, but I do.
And what I get, is not just about what is on those model pages.

As a designer myself, I offer more than just the digital model in my shop.
I try to offer support and help, information and advice with every model.
I test build every one of my models myself,
and I often post Build Tutorials and How-Tos for each model.
I provide Photo Walkthroughs of many of my kits.
And I offer regular updates and fixes for any kit issue that arises.

And so, I often expect the same in return from every other designer.
But I realize thats a big expectation.
I don't always get what I want...but I still wish it was there.
And sometimes I demand it was there.
Especially when frustrated over what should have been a simple print and build.

Anyway, I will soldier on, now that I have self-verified the dimension of this model.

Aaron...for your information!...this model builds to roughly 12" long and 7" in diameter.
I verified this by laying out the individual 2D parts in Corel.
This is of course printing the model at the unaltered scale.
Whatever pretend scale that might be.

Dragonmomma...there are many members here who don't have the luxury of an unlimited bank account for their hobbies.
And some that have limited access to paper, cardstock and printer ink.
No...I'm not that desperate or have trouble getting supplies.
But that doesn't mean I like wasting cardstock and ink.
I still respect the value of things.

I brought it up because it was an important element of my frustration with this build.
I don't need someone offering to pay for my lost supplies as if I am some charity case that is begging for your financial help.

And please, don't run and hide.
Build something, and start your own thread.
Give me the opportunity to admire ...or criticise... your work.
Maybe I'll even show you my Boat.
Or maybe you'll get some helpful advice. Who knows.
Maybe a Monkey.

...
Just to clarify...I did not pay for this model myself.
I was commissioned to build it...my client has purchased the model.
Since I also work for ecardmodels, I have access to this model aswell.
It is available there: https://www.ecardmodels.com/index.ph...per-model.html

I frankly am amazed by the works the designers supply. I've been working on a Vardo for close to three weeks and I'm close enough to 'soldier on', but I keep finding errors and have to restart whole sections throwing other parts off. I understand throwing in the towel, but I'm just cantankerous enough to push on through.

I really appreciate the efforts of all those designers who can put there designs together with far less effort than I am spending
