1/400 scale starships HELP ME PLEASE

since this model first was introduced, most of you know i have been trying to build the Enterprise refit, several times in fact i have attempted this model but i have only been able to finish it once with less than satisfactory results. what i need help with is the frame of the saucer section. i cant get the bugger straight, can anyone help me fix the "wobble" or "wave" in the saucer frame?

layers of foam and cut from the radius to the nexus of the circle, eliminate the overlap? can you show a pic please thok?

For a model that big, you definitely need wood to help reinforce it and combat warpage. Basswood is good for structural members as it is lightweight and strong, plus you can cut lightening holes in it. Balsa is less strong and doesn't have as much compression strength, but its tensile strength is great. What I would do is build the skeleton from basswood, then skin it with paper.

i tossed out the saucer i was working on, i have done it with the card board from 12 pack soda cartons but i think maybe card board i was using had gotten wet at some point in the past.

thok, have you tried those white foam boards and foam picnic plates for support under the paper?
