New USS Xerxes Saladin Class Refit

Another transferred thread.

Well this all started when I was building Diego Cortes' model of this ship yesterday. I just wasn't happy with the shape of the saucer and a few other things so I decided to make a new version using Cmags mod of Shunichi Makino's Enterprise-A as a basis (Shunichi's basic components seem to be the standard for ships of the TMP era in card modeling anyway, and I like the extra level of detail on Cmags nacelles). Anyway here it is.

I believe I will also go ahead and make the refit version of the Ptolemy Class Transport/Tug

And maybe even the refit Federation Class Dreadnought!

I can't wait for the Federation-class refit. Will you be modifying the standard Sunichi secondary hull to reflect the shape of the original design?

I think he was planning to do a Dreadnought in the TMP-refit style - using the upgraded saucer and nacelles. IIRC, the Dreadnought was of course, 3 nacelled, with a beef-ed up saucer, fore and aft deflectors, and a forward shuttle bay above the deflector. Yes, cygnus-x1 agrees: Star Trek LCARS Blueprint Database - U.S.S. Federation Class Dreadnought Blueprints

I also found this site with various designs for additional Dreadnoughts, some from TMP era. Might help in your designs, SW:

well i cant take too much credit for this one. its more of a rearrangement of parts and a replaced registry than a real design. the BoP however.......
