Next TankBot Design

I am making the next in the legendary TankBot series, that I just made up. Here is a pic of the 3d model. I have already started construction, more pics coming soon.

Certainly a different looking 'vehicle', lools like a hi-tech Discworld Luggage. What size is this supposed to represent, being insect-like I see it towards the small side with swarms of them - if it were large it does seem to present quite a side profile as a target.

In my mind, it would be about 12 feet tall. I know it doesn't make sense either militarily or even functionality, but it is just one of those things I have to build to get it out of my head It's predecessor, the tankBot, is pretty much nebulous as to it's actuall purpose. Has military markings and a mean skull painted on it, yet no real sighs of weapons or function. I don't know. It just...is.

It's great that you have the ability to put your 'dream' machines into physical representations, basically it's art - sculpture. Very interested to see what else you come up with.

I pictured them as being autonomous and no more than 1 meter tall, with anti-personnel and armor piercing rounds, hiding out in the bushes by a trail or in urban rubble waiting for targets of opportunity to wander by.

This is so true! I had toyed with some 3d printers for a while, but I get so much more satisfaction from paper modeling my ideas. I have made some sculpts from polymer clay, but for my mecha ideas, paper modeling is the way for me.
I have put a little thought toward making some paper mache parts for round objects to combine with the lines I get in the card models. I don't know if that is considered "cheating" or not, but most of my models are single knock offs with little to no actual instructions, with paint applied after the fact. They may not be considered as true paper models anyway.
Thanks!
A little off topic, but since you are "gotham", here's little batman doodle for you

Thanks! Id' be glad to share the layouts if anyone wants to take a stab at building them. Or even making improvement suggestions, that would be very cool. Draw on the wealth of knowledge assembled here
