Well, since I had a lot of help on this, between Chris making the dome I modded and others supplying research material, and pulling ideas from other designers, I had entered this in the kitbash category, not design, and the voting ended today.

And the piece won the Kitbash category!

About the only thing I didn't modify or create myself was Dave's Landspeeder which only had an enlargement.

I really need to learn a 3d modeling program, but I don't know when I will have the time.

Thanks, everyone.

I really hope this inspires someone to do a better model of the building

I think I'll dig out my Star Wars DVD's. Seriously man, that's some really great modeling!

I wish I had a vcr that still worked, or the original three movies on DVD. I liked the first versions better than the reworked ones.

I am thinking of taking a page out of Milan Paulus's playbook and hang the main buildings on my wall. The cats got into a fight yesterday morning and Gracie landed on it and crushed two buildings and ran through the house with the twin-arched roof overlay stuck on her back leg. Everything is repaired, but I think I need to do something other than putting it in a box.

This has been a popular project, building the set of the cantina. Someone last night asked me if I'd done some more models lately. And when I Googled 'Mos Eisley Cantina Building', several of my photos came up. It's great that so many folks are interested in it that it made the first page of the Google image search.
