R2-D2 Paper-Replika

My next model will be made in the spare time of the Akitsushima.
The model seems relatively easy to build with just 52 pieces.
Even being a basic model I think that It can end up a nice model
Let’s see what I can do.
It is the R2-D2 from Paper-Replika and its possible to download here: http://paper-replika.com/index.php?opti

I have built this model (as a gift for a friend) a few years ago. It was an easy (quick) fun build.
I am looking forward to seeing your build.

Rhaven Blaack - I also also expect to be an easy build.

After the head continue with the body. I used some card to reinforce the body.

Now the construction of the legs.

The legs are build with boxes glued together.

What weight paper/cardstock are you using?
I have the paper replika Chopper droid from Rebels on my desktop atm. The head/neck/body joint is giving me some pause. But I'll figure it out.

Life size R2-D2 any one?

Life-size Papercraft R2-D2 | Tektonten Papercraft

I just bought one of these NEW EX M&S SMALL MID BLUE DOME TOP PEDAL BIN | eBay to make into a Minion Waste bin, but they'll probably make a good basis for an R2-DB (Dust Bin). Be quick though. Numbers are limited 'cos it's an end of line item on sale.
