WH40K Bombard
I just finished this Warhammer 40K siege mortar designed by Patoroch (Vadim Davydkov). Originally laid out in 1/60 scale on A4 paper, I had to shrink the parts pages a bit to fit on letter sized paper, so my model is 1/67 scale.
I used Photoshop to create a more interesting skin. The "nose art" cartoon is a female Imperial Guard Commissar. I love building these WH40K vehicles. All the laminating and layering results in really impressive looking finished models, sure to elicit the open mouthed "I can't believe it's paper" reaction.

Thank you, gents. This was the most parts intensive WH40K model I've built so far - 41 individual pieces in the crane alone. I really enjoy building this series of models - I've not come across any fit issues, and the numbered illustrations that serve as instructions are usually pretty clear.

Great job Don! I love the Patoroch WH40k models, they challenge me and give great results.

Hi All,
And hi, Don. Nice work on your rhomboidal bombard. Does it fire shell or ball? And I like that you photographed your model on red rosin paper. I've thought about doing that, but I haven't tried it yet. Looks good. Score and fold, Thumb Dog |
