American Civil Warhammer 40K

I'm going to try to attach photos from my computer. We'll see what happens.

This model pair is a relatively recent addition to Patoroch's WH40K line. The idea and initial sketches are credited to a Pete Poli. The models are obviously inspired by the ironclads USS Monitor and CSS Virginia and are not part of the WH40K universe.

I recolored both with Photoshop, adding the stars and bars to the side of the Confederate vehicle, and the insignia of the USA artillery branch to the turret of the Union vehicle.

Neither vehicle makes much sense, but that's what fantasy is all about. Both models had a couple of parts that had to be redrawn due to incorrect geometry. The Union vehicle was missing the tread strips for the rear wheels, but that was an easy fix.

I have to say I really like the way these models turned out, and hopefully you'll be able to see the photos. Here goes nothing....

Many thanks VK. They are advertised as 28mm tabletop gaming scale. They are both 5.5 inches long.

These remind me of the Warhammer Fantasy Imperial Steam Tank.

They look awesome.
