I'm really pleased with this model. It's really quite impressive you know, both in it's size and the amount of detail on it. I think it's probably my best one to date, and for that a fair amount of the credit must go to the designer Ron Caudillo. The instructions were excellent and the fit of parts was darn near perfect - it really was a joy to build .

As I said before, I actually finished it a couple of days ago, but wanted to make a suitable display stand before I took any photos. The base design is from part of another stand that I downloaded a while ago (I've forgotten where exactly), but that one used card uprights which would have required some modifications to fit my Enterprise. Then I hit on the idea of using cheap biro type pen housings cut to size, and I think it works rather well. The base itself is actually one half of a ring binder, edge coloured with a marker pen.

Ultra clean build, one of the best builds of star trek ships i have ever seen. And the stand is awesome - simply and nice.
